(2Corinthians 12:9-10) says “Grace is all we need, and his power works best in weakness” we all have our flaws, we all have our brokenness, we all have our weaknesses that we think if people really see them they won’t accept the real us. But this passage says we are supposed to take pleasure in our weakness because when we are weak He makes us strong. Some of us feel since we are Christians, leaders, parents, business owners, we must never look weak because for some reason we have built a culture that says, "if you look weak in front of people then your less than and your less important." And nobody wants to be less important so then we build performance cultures because everyone wants to hide their weaknesses. This is a big issue especially with people of influence because we as a society think that influence equals perfect which is not true and if people see we aren’t perfect they might no longer follow us or care about what we have to say. The great thing is, we have a loving and gracious father that is attracted to our sin and brokenness and accepts us just how we are and embrace us even in our dirt and wraps us in his loving arms. There is beauty in being broken and not having it all together because without weakness there is no hope for strength. Throughout the bible we see so many powerful stories about Gods strength but if you notice in every situation that His strength was shown there was first a place of weakness, which was a landing place for His strength. When you notice your weak spots it causes you to stay humble because you see your dependence on Jesus!!!!
So this week and for the rest of your life I encourage you to find beauty in your brokenness and no longer hide because you feel you should be so much better then you are. I promise you Gods love never stops chasing you because you feel too broken or too dirty. So I challenge you to notice some of the weak points in your life. Close your eyes and picture Jesus in front of you and just feel His grace and love towards you. See how He begins to lend his strength to you, which is grace that gives you the ability to do what you couldn’t do without him.
